Melissa is the owner-operator of City Grille located in the Carousel District in downtown Mansfield.
City Grille will be celebrating their 9 year anniversary this summer. Melissa was born in Mansfield and is a 2000 graduate of Lucas high school. She received a bachelors degree in 2007 from Ashland University. She married Jake Lawrence in 2014. They have a 5 year old son Charlie and 3 pups, Ava, Axle, and Annie
Melissa opened Let It Shine Gifts & Décor in 2018 with her mother Susan Banks. The store is located next door to the City Grille. The store is filled with small gifts and reclaimed and refinished furniture. In 2019 Melissa and her husband opened Mid-Ohio Hitch and Trailer located at 57 S. Illinois Ave in Mansfield. Jake specializes in trailer repair, hitch installation, and parts and trailer sales.
