Mansfield native, J. Todd Snyder is Chief Executive Officer of Snyder Funeral Homes, Inc., a family-owned, funeral service and cremation firm that has served our community through four generations. Based in Mansfield, the firm has grown to operate fifteen funeral home locations and four crematories in seven Ohio counties, serving more than two thousand families annually.
Todd is a graduate of Lexington High School, The Ohio State University and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He holds licenses in the state of Ohio as Funeral Director, Embalmer and Insurance Agent. Todd has managed the Lexington Avenue Chapel in Mansfield since 1985, and began overseeing the operations of the Bellville-Butler Chapel following his father Paul's retirement in 1997, and the Marion Avenue Chapel in Mansfield when it was acquired in 2008.
Because of his expertise in the area of funeral pre-planning and pre-funding, he served on the Funeral Advisory Board for the CNA Insurance Companies, is a Past President of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association District #2, and holds numerous professional memberships and designations.
Snyder Funeral Homes, Inc. has grown big by thinking small, meticulous attention to detail and “Milestone Mentality”. “We have grown a team of compassionate professionals who recognize that our contact point with folks is not a business transaction but a family milestone – an event so important in the timeline of each family we serve as to approach every aspect of it with extreme care. And people recognize the difference once they are on the receiving end of that level of service.”
The key is building the right team of professionals to deliver quality care. Todd’s challenge, along with his family of co-owners, is delivering consistent quality 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.
He serves on the Board of Directors of Hospice of North Central Ohio, and formerly served as Chairman of the Board of Berean Baptist Church. Todd and his wife Linda are members of Berean Baptist Church and enjoy traveling. Linda Snyder is also a licensed funeral director and they have two children (both also funeral directors) Hannah Snyder Wernecke and Gideon Snyder. One adorable grandson, and a Cobberdog Grady complete the family.
