Hillsdale Rallies From 18 Down To Beat Danville, Will Play For State Title

The Hillsdale Falcons magical season is marching on to Canton to play for a state championship!

Hillsdale, who rallied on Friday night in the State Semi-Finals - down 22-6 in the 1st half, beat Danville 25-22 at the Whippet Athletic Complex in Shelby, will now play Marion Local on Friday, December 6th at 10:30 am. You will be able to hear the game "live" on Fox Sports 1340 WNCO-AM via the OHSAA Radio Network.

The Falcons defense threw a shutout in the 2nd half, while Hilldale's sophomore QB, Kael Lewis had a hand in all 4 of their TD's.

RichlandSource.com reports, Lewis ran for two scores, which included the go-ahead TD with 10:29 to play in the 4th quarter. Kael also threw for two touchdowns, an 8 yard throw and catch to Brock Bower with :04 seconds to play before halftime. The other TD was late in the 3rd quarter to Holland Young.

Hillsdale (14-1) becomes the 2nd ever school in Ashland County to play for a state title, the other was Loudonville back in 1990.
