Mount Vernon Leaving OCC

Big news in local sports, Mount Vernon is leaving the Ohio Cardinal Conference.

According to RichlandSource.com, The Yellow Jackets will leave the OCC in the fall of 2024 and join the Licking County League.

Mount Vernon Athletic Director, Justin Sanford said, they were not actively seeking a new league, but after they got an official invitation, the board, administration and coaches made the decision to pursue the new direction. Other schools in the Licking County League include: Granville, Licking Heights, Licking Valley and Watkins Memorial.
