Decision On Fall Contact Sports Expected Thursday

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is expected to make his decision Thursday afternoon, if fall contact sports can take place in Ohio.

Parents, coaches and athletic directors around the state are awaiting the news with games scheduled to start, statewide next week for soccer.

Madison AD Doug Rickert told WMAN this week, they need guidance soon as they are in the 11th hour.

High School Football if approved, would start its season two weeks from this Friday, on August 28th.

The Governor expected to speak on the issue at his 2 pm press conference on Thursday.
