Cleveland Indians Considering Changing Team Name

The Cleveland Indians are considering changing the name of the franchise amid a nationwide move toward social equality. In a press release issued Friday, the MLB franchise said they "are committed to engaging (the) community and appropriate stakeholders to determine the best path forward" regarding the team name. On Sunday, Indians Manager Terry Francona said he supports the idea, saying he thinks "it's time to move forward." The franchise has carried the "Indians" name since 1915.
