Mansfield: 179th Cyberspace Wing conducting 4-day Combat Readiness Exercise

MANSFIELD, Ohio- The 179th Cyberspace Wing will be conducting a four-day

Combat Readiness Exercise (CRE) around Mansfield Lahm Air National Guard

Base, April 30-May 3, 2026. The exercise will include staged activities that

may or may not include loud sounds, gun fire, sirens, alarms, first

responders, extra vehicle or military equipment activity, staged protesting,

unmanned aerial vehicles in the area, etc.

These are all scheduled and coordinated events as part of the training

exercise and should not be cause for alarm to the public.

During this time, the commander is asking the public to avoid the area and

allow for the training to be conducted.
