Directions Credit Union $5,000 Donation to Ashland Kroc Center Van Purchase

Ashland, Ohio – April 1, 2026 – Directions Credit Union presented a $5,000 donation to The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Ashland, Ohio, on March 31 to support the purchase of a multi-purpose van that will expand the center’s ability to serve the community.

Representatives from Directions Credit Union joined Kroc Center leadership, staff, and community members for a check presentation at the facility, highlighting the impact of the donation and the partnership between the two organizations.

The van will be used for a wide range of activities, including transporting participants and equipment for youth programs, arts and education initiatives, and community events.

Directions Credit Union learned of the need through its local team. Ashland Branch Manager Jill Comer and members of her staff regularly volunteer at the Kroc Center and saw firsthand how additional transportation would help the organization better serve families and youth.

“The Kroc Center plays an important role in bringing people together and creating opportunities for children, families, and seniors in Ashland,” said Barry Shaner, President and CEO of Directions Credit Union. “Supporting the purchase of this van is a practical way for us to help strengthen programs that make a real difference in the community.”

During the event, attendees gathered for photos and remarks celebrating the partnership and the expanded opportunities the van will provide.

Directions Credit Union supports a wide range of nonprofit organizations across its field of membership, with a focus on community wellness, education, and access to resources that improve quality of life.
