Mansfield Highway Patrol Reports: Multiple Crashes Early Tuesday on I-71

Mansfield – The Ohio State Highway Patrol Mansfield Post is investigating multiple crashes that occurred in the early morning hours on March 17, 2026. The initial crash occurred at approximately 6:45AM when a Gray 2025 Ford F-150 lost control and spun out on IR 71 at mile post 168 southbound. While losing control the pickup struck a 2015 Gray Nissan Altima. Several others vehicles began to slow and stop for the crash that occurred resulting in two other separate crashes in the same area. Only one driver reported a possible injury resulting from the crashes. Two lanes were shut down during the initial investigation but are now open. The crashes remain under further investigation at this time.
