On October 3rd, 2025 the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office concluded an investigation into stolen commercial lifts being rented from businesses in Ohio and surrounding states and were later being sold in Crawford County.
The Sheriff’s Office intercepted a 35 ft. JLG Boom Lift worth approximately $30,000, that was being sold by individuals from Michigan, to an individual in Crawford County. At 2303 hrs. Farandis Carnell Russell, age 22, from Michigan was stopped and was placed under arrest for being in possession of stolen property.
The lift had been rented in Cleveland, Ohio at Home Depot and was due to be returned on 9-30-2025. A report was filed with that local jurisdiction for theft.
Farandis is being held at the Crawford County Justice Center and reports will be forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for additional charges. This case is still under investigation by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
