Mansfield City Council this week denied a zoning request proposal on the northside of town for 39 acres of land.
According to RichlandSource.com, the parcels are located east of the Richland County Fairgrounds, just north of Longview Ave and the Wooded Estates Moblie Home Park.
The request would have allowed the construction of single family or multifamily homes.
Over a dozen residents from the Roseland neighborhood spoke during a public meeting, which lasted over an hour. Their concerns were about safety, increased traffic and infrastructure capacity.
