The first recreational marijuana dispensary in Mansfield could be open this spring.
According to RichlandSource.com, officials with Backroad Wellness have obtained a provisional license from the State of Ohio, and have purchased the building at 1099 West 4th Street, which was previously the home to Black Belt Pro Fitness.
They hope to open sometime in May, and are currently remodeling the building, along with plans to pave the parking lot.
Backroad Wellness is headquartered out of Zanesville and operates 3 other cannabis dispensaries in Ohio -Lima, Cambridge and one near Portsmouth in New Boston.
