The Richland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, after a body was found Sunday, South of Lexington, near the B&O Trail.

According to RichlandSource.com, the body of a white male was located, around 9 am, about 50 feet west of the bike trail.

Richland County Coroner’s Office investigator, Tom Stortz, said, the body had been there for a while and was frozen.

A person walking their dog found the body and notified Lexington Police, who then contact the Richland County Sheriff’s Office.

The man had no identification on him.

Major Joe Masi, Richland County Sheriff’s Office, said, it’s possible the body could be the missing 25 year old man from Ashland County, whose car was found a few miles away at the Der Dutchman Restaurant in Bellville, back in early January.
