The Mansfield Senior TYgers beat Sandusky on Saturday night, 84-77, in front of a good crowd at Pete Henry gymnasium in the TYgers home opener.
Freshman Kaylen Brooks got the crowd jumping in the 1st quarter, as he poured in 13 points, which included some long distance 3-pointers!
Brooks had 24 points on the evening, while Kyevi Roane scored a game high 25 points and pulled down an incredible 19 rebounds. Rashad Reed had a fantastic night, as he dropped in 23 points, which included 3 of 4 from three point land.
Roane, Brooks and Reed combined for 72 of Senior High's 82 points.
The TYgers shot 31 free throws and connected on 19. Jaden Smith and Andrew Brooks were both terrific off the bench, Smith chipped in 7 points and Brooks added 5.
Senior High is off to a 2-0 start to the 2024-2025 campaign and will play at Madison on Friday. You can hear the game on WMAN.
Sandusky (0-2) was led in scoring by Jason Henlon with 22, Dale Johnson dropped in 18 and Kobe Brown had 17 for the Blue Streaks.
