Playoffs: 3 TD's from DeVito, Defense - Pushes Shelby Past Ottawa-Glandorf

The Shelby Whippets improved to 12-0 on Friday, after beating Ottawa-Glandorf, 26-14, in the Division IV Regional Quarterfinal at the Whippet Athletic Complex.

Shelby fell behind early and trailed 7-6 at halftime.

The Whippets outscored the Titans 20-7 in the 2nd half, as Shelby QB Brayden DeVito had a hand in all 3 of the Whippets TD's, which were all big plays.

DeVito threw two TD passes, a 66 yard play to Avery Lambert, and a 69 yard strike to Brady Bowman. Brayden sealed the deal, after a huge interception by Brock Fisher as OG was driving into Shelby territory at the 17 yard line, as DeVito darted 76 yards to the end zone to push the Whippets into the regional semi-final on Friday.

DeVito had just shy of 400 total yards, and now for the season has accounted for 55 TD's and over 4,700 total yards.

Shelby (12-0) will now play Ontario (11-1) in the regional semi-finals on Friday, November 15th.
