Two people were appointed to Lexington Village Council this week.
According to RichlandSource.com, Michael Benson and Rodney Earick were appointed to the vacant seats on Monday.
It’s the first time for both in public office. Earick is a native of Lexington, and works in the insurance industry, while, Benson has lived in Lexington since 2010. He is the current executive director of the Richland Academy of the Arts.
Lexington council president, Wynn Kearns said, a total of 7 people applied for the vacant seats, after Adam Gongwer and Aaron Hoptry resigned in October.
