Ashland, OH – The Ashbrook Center is pleased to announce that Fox News contributor and renowned legal scholar Jonathan Turley will be the featured speaker at an upcoming luncheon event, part of the Ashbrook Center’s Major Issue Lecture Series. Turley, a distinguished professor of law at The George Washington University, will speak on “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage”, based on his critically acclaimed new book of the same name.
The event will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd at 12:00 noon.
Turley will address the rising threats to free speech in contemporary society and the shifting landscape of public discourse and explain how the fundamental human right to free speech is under attack in ways that go beyond politics—noting deeper issues of trust, societal values, and our nation’s historical commitment to open expression. He will explore these challenges through a legal and constitutional lens, offering compelling insights on the urgency of protecting free speech in an increasingly polarized world.
