The Mansfield Police Department is reporting that multiple shooters fired shots from outside of the home on South Main Street, where a 19 year old teenager died, early Sunday morning.
According to RichlandSource.com, Jason Bammann, Mansfield Police Chief, said, they are pretty sure there were two shooters, maybe three.
Malachi Miller was the only person struck during the shooting at the residence, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. There were several people in the room with Miller at the time.
Bullet casings were found at the scene, as police officials are still working to determine the caliber of guns used. Bammann said a gunman fired through a side window into the kitchen, at the back of the home, just after 2:30 am.
The homicide is the 5th in Mansfield in 2024. The investigation is ongoing.
