The Richland County Coroner’s office has identified the victim from the Sunday morning shooting on South Main Street, as 19 year old Malachi Miller.
Bob Ball, Richland County Coroner’s Office Chief Investigator, said the body will be taken to Montgomery County for an autopsy in Dayton.
According to RichlandSource.com, the shooting death is being treated as a homicide, which would be the 5th in Mansfield in 2024, and the first since April. Mansfield Police are continuing to investigate the incident, which took place just after 2:30 a.m.
