Shortly after 1pm today (Friday) Springfield Township Fire Department, Richland County, was dispatched to a home explosion at 4031 Hook Road. Upon arrival debris was spread throughout the yard and the home was demolished. Several individuals were at the home at the time of the explosion. One person is dead and two injured, with no names being released at this time.
Crestline Fire Department, Galion Fire Department, Madison Township Fire Department, Mansfield Fire Department, Troy Township Fire Department, Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol and Metro Lifeflight were on scene. An investigation is underway to determine the cause.
