The plan to turn the former Brass Office building in Mansfield into more than 80 apartments, apparently is not going to happen.
According to RichlandSource.com, attorney and developer, Bob Myers, has withdrawn his idea for the building on North Main Street, based on council’s reaction Tuesday evening.
Myers was hoping for a historical designation for tax credits and was surprised when he found out the property owed $84,000 in property taxes. A letter sent to the city said, the owner was unaware of the tax issue and payment has been processed.
