A home in Shelby was damaged by an early morning fire on Monday.
Fire Chief, Mike Thompson, told WMAN – the call came in around 12:41 am for a residence on State Route 39. The homeowner was able to get out safely before crews arrived on scene. The fire caused damaged to the roof and front of the home. The estimated cost of the damage, according to the Shelby Fire Department, is $50,000 - $75,000. The cause of the fire is not known and remains under investigation
