City Council Approves Tax Abatement for Ashland Company

In Ashland, City Council approved a 10 year, 75% tax abatement for a business in town that is looking to expand.

According to AshlandSource.com, the tax break is for the Harris Welding and Machine company on Cottage Street. They plan to add a 15,000 square foot extension on to their current, 35,000 square foot building. The expansion project is expected to cost between $1.6 million and $1.8 million.
