A California neighborhood is finally at peace after a "serial slingshot shooter" was nabbed after ten years of terrorizing residents. For the past decade, people living in Azusa, California, have been dealing with broken windshields and windows caused by somebody using a slingshot to fire metal ball bearings. In some cases, the suspect also nearly struck several people with his slingshot.

Over the years, he caused around $10,000 worth of damage.

After a lengthy investigation, police officers located the suspect, 81-year-old Prince King, and took him into custody.

"Once that pattern was discovered, based on the location of the damage and the residences, the team was able to narrow it down to a specific residence," Cpl. Benjamin Cypher of the Azusa Police Department said.

Officers then began to surveil the home.

"He was observed exiting the residence and using the slingshot while we were watching," Cypher added.

King was arrested and charged with five counts of felony vandalism and two counts of misdemeanor vandalism.

"Many times I came outside, and I would find little BBs by the front door, so I'm very glad the person was caught," resident Monica Palomino told KNBC.

Lt. Jake Bushey told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune there was no motive for the attacks "other than just malicious mischief.'
