A spokesperson for a Cannabis company said, Mansfield could receive up to $250,000 in tax revenue per year, if City Council doesn’t place a moratorium or ban on dispensaries operating in town.

According to RichlandSource.com, the district manager of the company told council, a city of Mansfield’s size would see estimated annual sales of $5 to $7 million. The company, Cannabist, operates 4 medical marijuana dispensaries in Ohio – located in Dayton, Logan, Marietta and Monroe.

Mansfield’s revenue would likely be higher due to local income tax paid by employees at the dispensary.

Council is scheduled to vote on the matter on June 4th.
