The village of Plymouth is building a new fire station.

According to RichlandSource.com, a big reason is thanks to the Milliron Foundation. Plymouth Fire Chief, Richard Metzger, first met with Grant Milliron about the project back in December of 2022.

The new fire station will be built on Sandusky Street, which is the former Plymouth High School property.

Plymouth mayor, Cassaundra Fryman, said, the total cost of the project is around $3.4 million. The gift from the Milliron Foundation toward the fire station is $2.8 million. The new Plymouth Fire station will be close to double the size of the current station, which is located on Portner St.
