The Richland County Land Bank could meet with a developer interested in marketing the former Westinghouse site property in Mansfield.
According to RichlandSource.com, the meeting could come as early as next month.
Richland County Commissioner, Tony Vero, and Mansfield Mayor, Jodie Perry, told the Land Bank Board members, they have recently spoke with a former resident, who now lives in the state of New York. The identity of that person has not yet been released, until a face-to-face meeting is scheduled.
Perry and Vero sharing the idea and discussion has been about a possible public-private partnership.
Demolition of the Westinghouse building, and the 13 acres next to it, started late in 2022, following a several million dollar grant from the state of Ohio.
