NWS Confirms EF-2 Tornado, Thursday, In Plymouth, New Washington Area

The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-2 tornado caused damage in Crawford and Richland Counties on Thursday evening.

The tornado began in Crawford County, northeast of the village of New Washington along Marsh road. The twister caused damage around 7:54 pm to multiple homes, trees before moving into Richland County. The tornado increased in intensity and caused extensive damage to homes, buildings, power poles and trees in the Plymouth area. The storm tracked east southeast along West road and Opdyke road, crossed State Route 98, State Route 61 and 191.

Wind speeds top out at 120 MPH, while the path length of the tornado, stretched just over 10 miles.
