Mansfield Police Investigation: Shelby Teacher On Administrative Leave

A Shelby middle school teacher has been placed on paid administrative leave.

According to RichlandSource.com, Shelby Superintendent, Michael Browning, said, he received a phone call from Mansfield Police on February 28th, which informed him of allegations that were made against the teacher.

Mansfield Police Captain, Randy Carver, said, the Mansfield PD is handling the investigation because the alleged incident took place in Mansfield.

Browning said, the teacher was immediately placed on leave, after the phone call from Mansfield Police. Browning went on to say, at Shelby, we deeply care about our students and staff, telling parents in a letter, we take every allegation seriously.
