The Mansfield Division of Police would like to alert area residents of a possible phone fraud occurring in our community. We have received complaints from area residents who advised they are receiving calls from the Mansfield Police Department requesting payment for fines. The caller advises that if fines are not paid an arrest warrant will be issued for the victim.
The Mansfield Police Department would never contact residents requesting payment of fines. If you do receive a call from someone claiming to be from the Mansfield Division of Police or Mansfield Police Department, please do not respond and contact the Division using our non-emergency line of 419- 522-1234 to report the incident as we are currently investigating this fraudulent scheme.
