Shelby Defeats Willard, Wins 20th Game Of Year -1st Time In School History

The Shelby Whippets boys basketball team won their 14th straight game on Friday, 89-67, at Willard in front of a packed house at Robert Haas Gymnasium.

Shelby trailed by 8 points in the 1st quarter, but got it rolling by scoring 26 in the 2nd quarter and 28 more in the 3rd, to pull away for the win. The victory is #20 on the year, which is the most in a regular season in school history. Shelby has not lost a game in 2024, as they are now 14-0 this year.

The Whippets had 5 guys score in double figures led by: Alex Bruskotter 26 pts, Brayden Devito 17, Casey Lantz 14, Karsen Homan and Issaiah Ramsey each added 11.

Willard (18-4) got another great game from star Max Dawson, who had a game high 36 points. Cam Robinson scored career point 1,000 on the night and ended up with 17 on the evening.
