2/3/24 - Mansfield Senior (14-5) beat state ranked #4 Bishop Hartley (14-2) on Saturday night in a thriller at Pete Henry Gymnasium.
The game was tied at 50 with :17 seconds to play when Senior High head coach, Marquis Sykes, called a time out and the TYgers executed to perfection to take the lead.
Ja'Ontay O'Bryant threw the ball in and got it right back, where he drove to the hoop and scored with :09 seconds to play. Bishop Hartley missed a shot and Kyevi Roane grabbed the rebound and Mansfield Senior put an impressive win on their tournament resume.
Mansfield Senior led by as many as 7 points, but the game was close the entire night. The TYgers were led in scoring by Kyevi Roane with 17 points, Ja'Ontay O'Bryant had 9, Duke Reese with 8 and Rashad Reed added 7.
Bishop Hartley was led by Jakhi Calloway with 12 points.
