Broadband internet was the talk this week in Richland County.

RichlandSource.com reports, the county commissioners, and other leaders on Tuesday, discussed a proposed broadband internet expansion, which would run along US 30.

Officials from the Chamber of Commerce and 179th Airling Wing, which is now the Cyber Wing, attended the meeting and gave their input.

Dr. Dorey Diab, president of North Central State College, said, high speed broadband internet should be considered like any other necessary utility, like electricity and water, mentioning, you can’t do anything without it.

Richland County Commissioner, Tony Vero, said, they have reached out to Broad Band Ohio to discuss the project, which can play a role in future economic development. Broad Band Ohio said, their goal is to bring high speed internet access to every Ohioan.
