The 53 points, is the 4th most in school history. Larry Siegfried, who played in the NBA, has the school record with 60 points in 1957 vs Galion. Siegfried, also has the 2nd and 3rd most points in a game in Shelby history with 58 vs Willard (1957) and 58 vs Crestline (1957).
Bruskotter scored 12 points in the 2nd quarter, 25 points in the 3rd quarter and 13 more in the 4th.
