In Ashland, City Council has voted to ban marijuana commercial operations and dispenaries within the city limits.

According to RichlandSource.com, the unanimous move by council comes just two months after Ohio residents, voted to pass Issue 2, which allows adults, age 21 and older, to purchase and possess marijuana.

Ashland's ordinance does not prohibit a resident from buying or growing cannabis. Mayor, Matt Miller, said, the ordinance will not allow the commercial growth, cultivation and dispensing of marijuana within the city limits of Ashland.
