Mansfield Senior High School Fined $10,000 By OHSAA In October

Mansfield Senior High School was fined $10,000 by the OHSAA back in October.

RichlandSource.com reports, the fine, which was for an ineligible athlete being permitted to play during the 2023-24 football season, was later reduced to $7,500.

The fine came 10 days after Athletic Director, Kevin Porter, was placed on Administrative leave, which he still currently is on.

The student was supposed sit out the first 4 games of this season, but instead played the first 5 games.

Mansfield Senior did not have to forfeit any games, after appealing and the student, then sat out weeks 6, 7, 8 and 9 to finish the transfer requirements.
