Officers responded to 29 Minerva Ave. at about 04:11 am. after a male subject called the police to advise that he had just shot another male who was wielding a knife. Upon arrival Mansfield Police Officers located a 30-year-old male victim inside a bedroom deceased. It appears the victim sustained a singe gunshot wound resulting in his death. The Richland County Coroner's Office will be sending the victim for an autopsy as this is an ongoing investigation. Major Crimes detectives are working to gather additional information however, the suspect has been identified and arrested on an unrelated felony warrant.
