Mansfield City Council, by a vote of 6-1, declined to place the Water Main Initiative on the spring ballot.

RichlandSource.com reports, Council member, Stephanie Zader, said, it would be disrespectful to place it in front of voters in March, after they voted it down earlier this month.

Zader went on to make it clear, she is not opposed to replacing water lines and fire hydrants. The initiative still could appear on the March ballot, if it gathers enough signatures. Just under 53% of voters cast a no ballot back on November 7th.
