Ashland’s Water Treatment Plant is receiving a new water softener, which has a price tag of $800,000.

Mayor Matt Miller, said, it is actually the rebuilding of one of the two water softener units, which treats all of the water that comes from 11 wells to supply water to Ashland. Those wells generate around 2.5 million gallons per day, which is treated by the water softener units.  The work is expected to start early next year and is required by the EPA.
