On October 24, 2023 the Morrow County Sheriff's Office METRICH drug task force and the Knox County Sheriff's Office CODE drug task force executed a search warrant at Hidden Lakes Campground located 5248 Township Road 108 Mt. Gilead.
The search warrant is the result of a long term joint investigation between the Morrow and Knox County Sheriffs Offices. Items seized at the scene included approximately 187 grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately 50 grams of suspected cocaine, suspected psychedelic mushrooms, and suspected LSD.
Eric Azbell of Hidden Lakes Campground was taken into custody on an indictment for trafficking in drugs. He is currently being held in the Knox County Correctional Facility. This matter remains under investigation.
