Richland Public Health Mobile Clinic
Richland County, OH - Richland Public Health (RPH) is taking their services on the road to overcome the obstacle of transportation for residents of Richland County. Through the purchase of a mobile health unit through a grant from the Ohio Department of Health, RPH's public health nurses will be providing services throughout the community.
RPH will be celebrating with a ribbon cutting on Friday, October 20th at 12:30pm at the health department located at 555 Lexington Avenue. "RPH is very proud and eager to provide this service to the Richland County Community. This mobile unit significantly increases RPH's ability to provide quality public health services to all corners of Richland County and further bridge the gap in accessibility to care for our diverse population," stated Dr. Julie Chaya, Health Commissioner.
The mobile clinic has two private exam rooms, a bathroom and handicap access for those who use wheelchairs. The health department intends the mobile clinic's primary use to be for nursing staff to administer vaccinations and conduct community health screenings.
