Morris Township - The Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred on October 8, 2023 at approximately 3:55 AM. The crash occurred on County Road 6 (Upper Fredericktown Road) in Morris Township of Knox County.
Colton R. Suain, age 20, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, was operating a 2014 Kia Forte traveling south on County Road 6. His vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, struck a tree, and overturned. Mr. Suain was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
Alcohol use is suspected to be a factor in the crash. Mr. Suain was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Knox County Sheriff’s Officer, Mount Vernon Fire and EMS, and Mike’s Marathon Towing. The crash remains under investigation
