Shelby QB, Brayden Devito, scored 4 Touchdowns to help lead the Whippets to a 36-21 win over Clear Fork.
Shelby trailed 14-7 in the 2nd quarter, which then saw the Whippets tie the game before halftime on a 67 yard pass play. (Devito to Nic Eyster.)
The Whippets out scored the Colts 22-7 in the 2nd half. Devito score on TD runs in the 3rd quarter of 25 yards and 55 yards. Skyler Winters rushed for a TD in the 4th quarter and Issaiah Ramsey caught a 90 yard TD to round out the scoring for Shelby. The Colts got all 3 TDs from their QB, Kasey Swank, who ran the ball very well behind the Clear Fork offensive line.
Shelby is now 6-2, 4-1 in the MOAC and sets up a big game in week 9, as the Whippets travel to Ontario. The conference championship is on the line, as the Warriors are 8-0, 5-0.
