Hit-Skip Crash: Galion Family Offers $5,000 Reward, Info Leading To Arrest

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s assistance.

On Friday September 29, 2023 around 8:50pm a vehicle/bicycle accident was reported on Fairview Rd. near Buckeye Dr. in Polk Township just north of the City of Galion.

The bicyclist was traveling northbound on Fairview Ave. with proper rear and front lighting when it was struck from behind by a northbound sedan.

After the collision, the sedan continued northbound and left the scene. The sedan is possibly a 2-door or 4-door light gray or silver in color. It possibly has damage to its front center/front driver’s side.

The bicyclist, Ed Fox age 55, of rural Galion is in stable condition at a Columbus Hospital.

The Trudeau Family of rural Galion has offered a $5,000.00 reward to anyone that provides any information that leads to the arrest, prosecution and conviction of the person(s) involved in the hit-skip accident on Friday 9-29-23 around 8:50pm at the intersection of Fairview Ave. and Buckeye Rd.
