The city of Mansfield has a new deadline for the owners of the West Park Shopping center on Park Ave West.
According to RichlandSource.com, the Mansfield Planning Commission voted to give Mansfield Realty,LLC, owners of the West Park Shopping Center, until Tuesday, August 15th to provide appeal bonds and performance bonds to the city, which would guarantee the demolition and cleaning up of the property.
Mansfield mayor, Tim Theaker, gave one final warning to the owners of the Shopping Center on Park Ave West earlier this year. Theaker said, tear it down or Mansfield will do it, and then assess the demolition cost to the company.
Mansfield ordered the dilapidated shopping center be demolished in November of last year and granted a 6 month extension until July 14th, which has since come and gone.
