News Release – UPDATE
On August 2, 2023 at 0751hrs Crawford County Sheriff’s Office along with Galion Fire & EMS responded to a one vehicle crash that occurred on State Route 97 south of Millsboro Rd.
Preliminary investigation indicates a white 2013 Kia Optima, driven by Cassie Robinette (age 23) of Galion, was traveling northbound on State Route 97, and went off the roadway and struck a tree.
Robinette was pronounced dead at the scene by the Crawford County Coroner’s Office. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was also assisted on the scene by Ontario Police Department, and Zeger’s Towing. The crash remains under investigation.
