Marion Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the city over the weekend. When officers arrived, they discovered the lifeless body of the 25-year-old resident. In connection with the incident, authorities apprehended a 21-year-old who is also a resident. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Multi-County Correctional Center, where he now faces charges of murder in relation to the death of his roommate. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remains ongoing.
