New Police Chief In Village of Lexington

There is a new police chief in the village of Lexington.

Troy Weaver was sworn in last week on July 6th by mayor Brian White. Weaver, who has been with the department since 1999, has been captain for the last 12 years.

The 46 year old Weaver is an Ontario High School and North Central State College Police Academy graduate. He takes over for Brett Pauley, who retired after over 30 years on the force.  Lexington has 10 officers on the force now and are looking to add 2 more to the department.
