Ashland County High Speed Pursuit, After Teen Vehicle Clocked At 101 MPH

Ashland County law enforcement officials were recently involved in a pursuit, which reached speeds topping 100 MPH.

The highway patrol reports, a 16 year old male, from eastern Ohio, refused to pull over after a trooper initiated a traffic stop on US 30. The driver continued through Hayesville, where the Ashland County Sheriff spotted the vehicle and pursued. The suspect’s vehicle went off the road on State Route 89 and over turned several times before striking a tree. The teenager was taken to the hospital with serious, but non- life threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
