Good news for the Lucas area, as work is continuing to bring better cell phone coverage to the region.
According to RichlandSource.com, Richland County Sheriff Captain, Jim Sweat, said, Verizon plans to have its equipment installed by mid to late August.
The original thought was it would be up and running in October, so well ahead of the timeline. The 300 foot public safety communications tower, is located on Union Street in the village of Lucas.
